Boone, Iowa -- Going on the road for their final non-conference games of the season, the Indian Hills Falcons returned to Centerville with a couple of wins over DMACC.  IHCC won 11-7 and 7-2 to improve their season record to 32-17 heading into this weekend's league series with Southwestern CC.

Indian Hills took control early in the opener  scoring their runs in bunches with a 3-run 1st, then added three more runs in the 2nd and finished off the Bears with five in the 6th.  The 6th inning uprising turned a 7-6 deficit into the final margin of 11-7.  Half of their 12 hits were supplied by Ryan Humeniuk and Dillon Nelson, who had three each.  Humeniuk had a solo homer, knocked in four runs and scored three, and Nelson came across twice.  Luis Gimenez had three RBIs.  Tristan Ledger recorded his first collegiate win with four innings of strong relief work, allowing two hits and a run.

A five-run 1st led to the second game victory.  After that, IHCC got single runs in the 3rd and 7th.  Their dozen hits included a Jacob Rhinesmith homer and three hits apiece by Gimenez, Will Zimmerman and Rhinesmith.  The pitching duties were divided among Brett Stenger, DJ DePiero and Luke Allridge.  They combined to give up only four hits and a single earned run.  Both Stenger and DePiero fanned four.

Indian Hills meets Southwestern for two games in Creston on Saturday and two more at Pat Daugherty Field Sunday.
