Centerville, IA – Freshman Jonah Mayoral (Littleton, CO/Heritage) of the Indian Hills Baseball team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Baseball Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Mayoral led the Warrior pitching staff last week, collecting his first two victories of his collegiate career. The freshman earned the start against Marshalltown, going 5.1 innings with just two earned runs allowed for his first collegiate victory. Mayoral closed out the three-game sweep of Iowa Lakes with four scoreless relief innings in the series finale, striking out a career-high six batters while allowing just one base hit.

On the year, Mayoral has worked 35.1 innings on the mound with 28 strikeouts and a 1.56 WHIP.

The Warriors are back in action Wednesday afternoon at Pat Daugherty Field with an ICCAC doubleheader against Kirkwood Community College. First pitch is set for 1:00 PM.
