Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Abdoulaye Fall (Dakar, Senegal/Cloud County) led No. 9 Indian Hills Men's Basketball to a pair of wins at the Financial Partners Classic over the weekend with two impressive performances. Fall is this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Fall poured in back-to-back 20-point performances as the Warriors picked up wins over Kankakee Community College (IL) and Lake Region State College (ND). In three total games last week, Fall averaged 18.0 PPG while shooting 61.8 percent from the floor and 77.8 percent from the free throw line.
Fall tallied 21 points on 9-16 shooting in Saturday's 78-66 win over Kankakee while adding six rebounds for the Warriors. The sophomore followed up on Sunday afternoon with a season-high 27 points on 10-15 shooting to go along with six rebounds and two steals. Fall has now posted nine double-digit scoring efforts on the year, including three games with at least 20 points.
On the year, Fall is averaging 11.5 PPG while shooting 55.2 percent from the floor and 79.6 percent from the charity stripe.
Fall becomes the seventh different Warrior this year to earn ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors.
The Warriors will welcome a 20-day layoff for the holiday break before returning to the Hellyer Center to take on Wabash Valley Community College (IL) at 7:00 PM on January 4. The Warriors previous defeated Wabash Valley this year 93-60 in Mount Carmel, IL.
