Ottumwa, IA – For the second time this season, sophomore Abdoulaye Fall (Dakar, Senegal/Cloud County) has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday afternoon.
Fall led the No. 4 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Basketball squad to a pair of wins last week, including an ICCAC matchup at the Hellyer Center. The Warriors currently sit at 16-4 overall on the year with a five-game win streak intact.
In two contests last week, Fall averaged 13.5 points per game while shooting 61.5 percent from the floor, including a 66.7 percent clip from three-point range. Fall tallied 8.0 rebounds per game to go along with 2.5 assists per game and a pair of steals.
In Saturday night's ICCAC opener vs. Marshalltown, Fall tallied 20 points, his fourth 20-plus point performance of the year in addition to a season-high nine rebounds as the Warriors ran past the Tigers 92-57.
On the year, Fall, leads the Warriors with 11.6 points per game while shooting 55.3 percent from the floor.
Indian Hills will now turn its attention to league foe Southeastern Community College in an ICCAC clash Saturday night at the Hellyer Center. The Blackhawks, who sport a 15-2 overall record following a 72-57 loss to Triton College (IL) on Saturday night, received votes in the latest NJCAA poll. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM.
Saturday night's matchup also serves as Indian Hills Athletics Hall of Fame night.
