PERKINS NAMED ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – For the second time this season, Quinton Perkins II (Dallas, TX/Tarleton State) of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball squad has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Perkins produced a solid week in a pair of road contests for the Warriors. Through two games, Perkins averaged 16.0 points per game while shooting 62.5 percent from the floor and 61.5 percent from three-point range. The guard also averaged 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.

In a narrow loss to No. 6 nationally ranked Triton College (IL) on Wednesday, Perkins poured in a team-high 23 points while knocking down five three-point shots on seven attempts. The 20-point outing was Perkins' third such occurrence in his last four contests. Perkins tallied four rebounds, four steals, and three assists in the loss.

Perkins aided the Warriors' attack in a key conference victory at Southeastern Community College on Saturday night. Perkins knocked down three three-point shots to help push the Warriors past the Blackhawks to clinch the regular season conference title.

The Warriors are back in action Saturday night with an ICCAC trip to Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, IA. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
