LAST TIME OUT

The Warriors are coming off a 95-77 victory over Marshalltown Community College on February 25. With the win, Indian Hills capped an undefeated ICCAC regular season with a 4-0 mark.

  • Led by a team-high 23 points from Quinton Perkins II, the Warriors ran away from the Tigers with a dominant second half.
  • Inidan Hills shot a season-high 63.8 percent from the floor in the win while connecting on 57.1 percent of its shots from beyond the arc, the team's second-best performance of the year.
  • Following the Warriors' win over Marshalltown, Indian Hills received a forfeit victory against Highland Community College (IL) on Tuesday night.

SCOUTING THE TROJANS

Triton heads to the Hellyer Center for the fourth consecutive year with a 25-3 overall record in tow.

  • The Trojans, ranked No. 3 in the latest NJCAA DI Men's Basketball poll, have won 20 consecutive contests, including a 65-58 victory over the Warriors in River Grove, IL on February 12.
  • Dayjuan Anderson leads the offense with a team-high 19.1 points per game while Vijay Wallace adds 16.1 points per ballgame.
  • Triton is shooting just 25.4 percent from three-point range over the team's last five contests, including a 23.3 percent clip against Indian Hills.
  • The Trojans are 5-3 against ranked teams this year.

SERIES HISTORY

The premier matchup in all of NJCAA basketball on Saturday night, the two top-five teams will square off at the Hellyer Center for another heavyweight battle.

  • Saturday night's contest will be the ninth consecutive nationally ranked matchup between the two teams since 2019, including four top-10 battles.
  • Indian Hills is 8-2 all-time vs. the Trojans, including a 5-0 record at the Hellyer Center.
  • Five of the previous seven meetings between the two have been decided by single-digits.
  • For the second consecutive year, Triton heads to the Hellyer Center ranked No. 3 in the national poll.
    • The Warriors upended Triton last year on March 2 with a 93-72 victory.

WARRIOR ALUM SPOTLIGHTS

  • Former Indian Hills standout Tyon Grant-Foster recently surpassed 1,000 career points in just two seasons at Grand Canyon University. Throughout his collegiate career, including two years with the Warriors from 2018-20, Grant-Foster has amassed 1,854 career points. The swingman is averaging 14.6 points a ballgame for the 21-6 Lopes.
  • Former Warrior Nuni Omot continues to make waves on the international scene with an impressive professional career. Omot, who helped lead South Sudan to the 2024 Paris Olympics, is making an impact with the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Omot is averaging 12.3 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per contest as the Ducks boast a 23-12 overall record.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Warriors clinched the regular season ICCAC championship with an undefeated 4-0 mark. With the regular season title in hand, Indian Hills will host the NJCAA Region 11 Championship at the Hellyer Center Saturday, March 8 at 7:00 PM. The Warriors will host the winner of Southeastern Community College and Marshalltown who will square off in Burlington, IA Wednesday, March 5.
