Head coach Cole Dewey is set to open up his second year at the helm of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball program as the Warriors will take on Pratt Community College (KS) and Cloud County Community College (KS) on the opening weekend of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball season.
STARTING FIVE
- The Warriors enter the new year ranked No. 13 in the preseason NJCAA DI Poll - NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Poll
- Indian Hills returns four members of last year's national tournament team - Mason Costello, Ater Manyuon, Vladyslav Semerych, and Javeyn Martin.
- The 2025-26 roster features eight newcomers to this year's squad - four sophomore transfers, three true freshman, and one redshirt-freshman.
- The Warriors are 626-82 (.884) all-time at the Hellyer Center.
- Friday marks the first day of competition for men's basketball teams around the nation with 64 total NJCAA DI Men's Basketball games tipping off.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
The Warriors are set to take on Pratt for the fifth time in program history, including the fourth consecutive matchup at the Hellyer Center.
- Indian Hills is 4-0 all-time vs. the Beavers with the Warriors taking the first matchup 93-77 at Pratt in 1999.
- The Warriors most recently defeated Pratt 79-64 at the Hellyer Center on November 8, 2024.
- Pratt is coming off an 11-20 record from a year ago.
- The Beavers return five members from last year's squad, including second-leading scorer Hunter Vaughn (15.2 PPG).
- Pratt is selected to finish 10th in the KJCCC preseason coaches poll.
- Pratt is under the direction of fifth-year head coach Kenny Eddy.
- The Beavers will square off against William Penn JV on Saturday afternoon at the Hellyer Center.
SCOUTING THE THUNDERBIRDS
Indian Hills and Cloud County will matchup for the fourth consecutive year at the Hellyer Center.
- The Thunderbirds posted a 14-18 overall record last year, including a 7-17 mark in the KJCCC.
- Cloud County was picked to finish 10th in the KJCCC preseason coaches poll.
- The Thunderbirds return four members of last year's squad, including its top two scorers in Elidjah Savane (16.8 PPG) and Syncere Burnette (12.3 PPG)
- Kyle Pugh enters his second season as the head coach at Cloud County.
- Cloud County will open up the weekend against William Penn JV on Friday night.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Warriors hit the road for the team's first away contest of the year with a trip to Dodge City Community College (KS) in Dodge City, KS on Tuesday, November 4. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
