Ottumwa, IA – For the fourth time this season, sophomore guard Taj Au-Duke of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball squad has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Au-Duke tallied his team-leading fourth ICCAC honor after leading the Warriors to the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) North Central District Championship with an 80-75 win over Dawson Community College (MT) at the Hellyer Center Saturday night. With the win, the Warriors punched their ticket to the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball National Championship in Hutchinson, KS.
Au-Duke produced a team-high 17 points in the win over Dawson, including a 7-8 performance from the free throw line. The sophomore added six rebounds and a pair of assists to lead Indian Hills to the national tournament for the 21st time in program history.
In addition, Au-Duke was named to the NJCAA All-Region 11 First-Team on Monday afternoon, one of eight individuals named to the postseason honoree list.
With the three seed in the tournament, the Warriors earned a bye to the second round and will open up play Monday, March 23 at 8:00 PM CST. Indian Hills will take on the winner of No. 14 seed Gulf Coast State College (FL) and No. 19 seed Brunswick Community College.
