All-American Honors for Lindsay Moore

Ottumwa -- Sophomore Lindsay Moore, a two-time first-team All-Region selection, capped her Indian Hills career by being named a National Junior College Athletic Association All-American. Moore, who played high school softball at Cardinal, was a third-team pick on the NJCAA All-American teams.

Moore put together an outstanding sophomore season at IHCC, hitting .410 and tying for the team lead in hits with 57 and homers with 12. She drove in 50 runs, scored 39 and had a slugging percentge of .727.

As a freshman, the right-handed hitting Moore had a .367 batting average with six home runs, 12 doubles and 33 RBIs.

Her career numbers at Indian Hills include a .388 average, 20 doubles, 18 homers, 83 RBIs and 68 runs scored. The home run total is tied for 8th all-time.

Moore is the 31st softball All-American in IHCC history. Kendle Schieber earned second-team National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American honors in 2014.
