GRANT LANDS SECOND ICCAC WEEKLY HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – For the second time this season, sophomore pitcher Maggie Grant (Onaway, MI/Inland Lakes) of the Indian Hills Softball team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Grant led the Warriors to a nonconference road split at Illinois Central Community College on Friday. The sophomore picked up a win in the nightcap to salvage the split for the Warriors, Grant's fifth win of the year.

After punching out a season-high eight batters in the opener vs. the Cougars, Grant came back in game two with 4.0 innings of relief work, allowing just one unearned run while scattering three hits. Grant tacked on four more punchouts in the 14-8 win for the Warriors.

Grant currently leads the Warriors in wins, strikeouts, and innings pitched this season.

The Warriors are set to make their home debut on Saturday, March 14 as Black Hawk College (IL) makes the trek to Ottumwa for a 1:00 PM doubleheader.
