Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Golf squad checked in at No. 3 in the preseason 2025-26 Bushnell/Golfweek National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Coaches Poll, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Friday.
The Warriors, coming off a third-place finish at the 2025 NJCAA DI Men's Golf National Championship, received 68 team points in the preseason poll, voted on by the NJCAA Coaches Association. Midland College (TX), the defending national champions, earned the No. 1 overall spot followed by Hutchinson Community College (KS) at No. 2. Odessa College (TX) and New Mexico Junior College rounded out the top-five.
Under the direction of fourth-year head coach Michael Wetrich, the Warriors return six individuals from last year's squad, including NJCAA All-Americans Charlie Preston (Hampshire, United Kingdom/The Sixth Form College Farnborough) and Carl Knauer (Stenungsund, Sweden/Nosnas).
The Warriors are set to open the 2025 fall campaign Monday, September 8 at the WT Pilgrim's Run Invitational in Pierson, MI at the Pilgrim's Run Golf Club.
