Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Charlie Preston (Hampshire, United Kingdom/The Sixth Form College Farnborough) opened up his 2025 campaign in dominant fashion to lead No. 3 ranked Indian Hills Men's Golf to the team title. For his efforts, Preston has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Golf Athlete of the Week.

Preston lands his second-career ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor after leading the nationally ranked Warriors to the team championship at the WT Pilgrim's Run Invitational in Pierson, MI last week. Preston placed second overall with a 1-under, 218 to pace the Warriors.

Preston helped the Warriors surge down the stretch to overcome a 16-stroke deficit and place first overall at the primarily NCAA -dominated event. Preston fired round scores of 73-74-71 to finish as one of just two individuals below par. The returning National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American, Preston tallied 13 birdies over the course of the three rounds, including seven over the course of the final 18 holes.

Preston and the Warriors return to action next week with the annual Zach Johnson Invitational September 22-23 at Glen Oaks Golf Course in Des Moines, IA.
