WARRIORS RANKED FOURTH IN LATEST NJCAA GOLF POLL

BUSHNELL/GOLFWEEK NJCAA DI MEN'S GOLF POLL - WEEK 2

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Golf team checked in at No. 4 in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Golf Poll, released by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Friday.

The Warriors received one first-place vote in the latest poll, just one of three teams to earn a top vote after its season-opening performance at the WT Pilgrim's Run Invitational last week in Pierson, MI. In total, the Warriors received 65 total votes from the committee.

The Warriors took home an impressive team title in its season debut at the Pilgrim's Run Golf Club. Indian Hills overcame a 16-stroke deficit to secure its first-place finish. Sophomore Charlie Preston (Hampshire, United Kingdom/The Sixth Form College Farnborough), this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Golf Athlete of the Week, placed second overall for the Warriors, one of just two individuals to finish below par.

Midland College (TX) held on to the top spot in the latest poll followed by McLennan Community College (TX) and Hutchinson Community College (KS). Odessa College (TX) rounded out the top five.

Next up for the Warriors is a trip to Des Moines, IA to compete in the annual Zach Johnson Invitational at Glen Oaks Golf Course September 22-23.
