Des Moines, IA – The No. 4 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Golf squad put together a valiant effort at the 2025 Zach Johnson Invitational as the Warriors placed third overall with a 9-over, 861.
The Warriors placed three individuals in the top-12, including a pair in the top-10 to finish third overall in the nine-team field, placing ahead of NCAA DI programs North Dakota State University, Drake University, and the University of Northern Iowa. Indian Hills fired round scores of 283-289-289-861 to finish just nine strokes over par.
Freshman Miles Bollinger (Eagan, MN/Cretin-Derham Hall) led the Warriors with an eighth-place finish, posting a 1-over, 213. Bollinger posted round scores of 70-71-73-214 for his second consecutive top-10 finish to begin his collegiate career.
Sophomore All-American Charlie Preston (Hampshire, United Kingdom/The Sixth Form College Farnborough) finished right behind Bollinger in ninth place with a 2-over, 215 while freshman Harry McArdle (Burren, Ireland/St. Colman's College) tied for 12th overall with a 4-over, 217. Both Preston and McArdle carded the Warriors' lowest round of the tournament with a 69 – McArdle in the opening round and Preston in the finale on Tuesday.
Sophomore Jedd Thomas (Sydney, Australia/St. Paul's Catholic), competing individually, tied for 19th overall with a 5-over, 218. Fellow sophomore Nathan Pouchoulon (Aix-en-Provence, France/Lycée Georges Duby) tied for 22nd overall after closing out the tournament with a 72 in the third round.
Indian Hills surged into the lead after the first two rounds on the opening day at Glen Oaks Golf Course. The Warriors led the field with an average of 3.25 on all Par 3 holes to go along with a tournament-best 50 birdies.
Preston led all Indian Hills golfers with 12 birdies, the second-most in the tournament followed by 11 birdies from McArdle and 10 from freshman Nathan White (Canberra, Australia/Lake Ginnindarra Secondary College). Both White and Thomas carded an eagle for the Warriors.
