Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Golf team will head to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Golf National Championship as the No. 1 ranked team in the nation. The Warriors were announced as the No. 1 ranked team in the final Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA DI Coaches Poll, released by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Friday.
The Warriors, who captured the program's 14th all-time NJCAA District Championship last week, held strong at No. 1 in the national rankings for the fourth consecutive week. Indian Hills tallied 79 total points from the voting committee while earning seven of the eight first-place votes.
Indian Hills captured the District title by 28 strokes to win the team title as sophomore Charlie Preston (Hampshire, United Kingdom/The Sixth Form College Farnborough) took home medalist honors with a 13-under par performance. In five spring events this year, the Warriors have placed inside the top-three in each tournament, including three team victories.
Odessa College (TX) checked in at No. 2 followed by McLennan Community College (TX), Weatherford College (TX), and Central Alabama Community College.
The Warriors are also ranked No. 1 in the final Scoreboard Powered by Clippd national rankings with 139.92 average weighted points, more than 28.0 points ahead of second-place Odessa College.
Preston will head into the NJCAA DI Men's Golf National Championship as the No. 2 ranked played in the nation while freshman Harry McArdle (Burren, Ireland/St. Colman's College) is ranked No. 5 overall. In total, the Warriors have five individuals ranked in the top-20 of the national rankings, the most of any team in the NJCAA.
Indian Hills will now head to Newton, KS for the 2026 NJCAA DI Men's Golf National Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course. Action gets underway May 12.
