2025 COLLEGE SPORTS COMMUNICATORS ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN TEAM®
Centerville, IA – Sophomore Abdoulaye Fall (Dakar, Senegal/Cloud County) of the Indian Hills Men's Basketball team has been named a 2025 Second-Team Academic All-American®, announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Wednesday.
Fall is one of just 20 individuals across the country to be named to the Academic All-American® Men's At-Large College Division which recognizes student-athletes from two-year and colleges and universities as well as Canadian institutions. Just 0.2% of all NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA at-large men's student-athletes earned the the title of of Academic All-American® in 2024-25.
"Abdoulaye is the definition of a student athlete," stated Indian Hills Men's Basketball Head Coach Cole Dewey. "As good as he is as a basketball player, he's an even better student. And as good as he is in the classroom, he's an even better person. Abdoulaye gave Indian Hills his absolute best, from the day he stepped on our campus for the summer session in June, to when he graduated and walked across the stage in May. I couldn't be more proud of him to represent our program as an Academic All-American."
Fall was tapped as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball First-Team All-American during his lone season with the Warriors. The sophomore was named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Basketball Player of the Year after leading the Warriors to the NJCAA Region 11 and NJCAA North Central District Championships.
Fall tallied 12 games in double-figures, including four games with at least 20 points on the year as the sophomore averaged 10.5 points per contest to go along with 4.0 rebounds per game. Fall was a two-time ICCAC DI Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the Warriors.
Fall will continue his academic and athletic career at the University at Albany next season.
