Sophomore Caleb Meekins (Livonia, MI/John Glenn) of the Indian Hills Men's Wrestling team has been selected as the Indian Hills December Male Student-Athlete of the Month. Meekins has helped the No. 5 nationally ranked Warriors get off to a strong start in the 2021-22 season.

The No. 1 ranked wrestler in the nation in the 133lb weight class, Meekins has been stellar all season long. Meekins opened up the month on Dec. 1 against Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) foe NIACC, scoring a pin in just 36 seconds. With the win, Meekins improved to 3-0 in conference wins this year, all by way of fall.

Meekins followed up the dual victory with a first-place finish at the Drury Open on Dec. 4. Meekins scored a fall, major decision, and tech fall before winning the first-place match with a pin in just 58 seconds.

Meekins and the Warriors are currently ranked No. 5 in the national team rankings.
