For the first time in program history, the Indian Hills Men's Wrestling squad will take on the No. 1 ranked team in the nation in a premiere NJCAA matchup in Centerville.
BACK POINTS
Indian Hills heads into Friday's dual with a 3-0 record on the year, having outscored each opponent by at least 15 points.
- The Warriors defeated No. 7 NIACC Wednesday night, 29-14, along with a 41-6 season-opening win over Trinidad State and a 44-0 win on the road at Carl Albert State.
- Friday's dual will be the Warriors' 23rd all-time dual against a natioanlly ranked opponent dating back to the 2020 season.
- Indian Hills is 15-7 all-time in ranked duals, including 8-5 in top-10 clashes.
- In three duals this year, Indian Hills has recorded seven pins, four majors, and four tech falls.
HEAVYWEIGHT CLASH
Indian Hills and North Idaho will meet for just the second time in program history as action gets underway at 5:30 PM.
- The Warriors and Cardinals previously met on January 14, 2022 at the National Duals in Miami, OK with North Idaho scoring a 26-15 win.
- The two squads finished 6th and 7th at last year's national championships in Council Bluffs, with North Idaho edging the Warriors 110.0 to 92.5.
- Indian Hills and North Idaho squared off in two matches at last year's national championships, incluidng a Round of 32 bout between Yaveion Freeman and Jeremiah Zuninga, both who return to this year's lineup.
- Both programs have finished in the top-10 of the team standings at the national tournament in each of the last four years

SIZING UP THE CARDINALS
North Idaho will make the 1,535 mile trek to Centerville for Friday's ranked clash, its longest trip of the season.
- North Idaho enters the 2024-25 season with the most team national championships (14) and most top-10 finishes (46) at the national tournament in NJCAA history.
- The Cardinals have claimed 54 individual national champions in program history, with its first coming in 1974.
- North Idaho has opened the year with a pair of dual wins over MSU Northern, 27-10 and Big Bend Community College, 46-6.
- North Idaho returns five All-Americans from last year's national championships, including No. 2 nationally ranked Noah Poe-Hatten at 184lbs.
- The Cardinals are led by head coach Derrick Booth in his third season at the helm of the program. A member of the 2013 national championship squad at North Idaho, Booth previously served as an assistant coach at Ellsworth Community College.
MATCHUPS TO WATCH
10 nationally ranked individuals are on the ballot compete on Friday night as the two programs combine for a total of 12 indiviudals in the preseason NJCAA polls.
- A pair of returning All-Americans are set to open the night at 125lbs as #3 Isaac Gibbs will take on #2 Elijah Cater. Gibbs placed seventh at last year's national championship while Cater placed sixth.
- A potential top-10 tilt awaits at 149lbs as the Warriors' Yaveion Freeman, coming off a narrow defeat to the No. 1 ranked wrestler from NIACC on Wendesday, could square off against No. 6 Sam Silveria.
- 174lbs could see a pair of returning All-Americans square off as Indian Hills' Jaquan East, ranked No. 4 and No. 3 Conan Northwind are set to take the mat.
