TRIO OF WARRIORS TAKE TOP HONORS AT LUTHER HILL INVITE

Indianola, IA – Sophomore All-American Shehabeldin Mohamed (Alexandria, Egypt/Smouha Military) opened the 2025-26 campaign with a dominant showing to lead No. 1 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Wrestling at the Luther Hill Invitational on Saturday.

Mohamed, a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American for the Warriors last season, took home a first-place finish in the Open Division 149lb bracket for the Warriors. The sophomore scored four victories, including a fall in the championship bout over NCAA DII national qualifier Sabian Russell of Quincy University.

Mohamed finished the day with two opening round falls along with a 3-2 decision victory. All four of Mohamed's victories came against NCAA four-year programs.

Along with Mohamed's performance, a pair of freshman took home top honors in their respective weight class in the Freshman/Sophomore Division. Olli Webb (Tunnel Hill, GA/Southeast Whitfield) brought home a first-place finish in the 133lb bracket, winning all five matches, including back-to-back tech falls to close out the day. Fellow reshman Johnathan Clohecy (Sumterville, FL/The Villages) also took top honors for the Warriors, securing a first-place finish in the 184lb bracket.

Webb opened the day with a fall in 4:41 before scoring a 13-4 major decision. Webb outlasted his third round opponent with 10-7 sudden victory to advance to the semis. The freshman dominated Jack Decker with a 17-2 tech fall in 2:18 to punch his ticket to the final bout. Webb handled Upper Iowa University's Brock Shaha with a 19-3 tech fall in 6:50 for his first collegiate tournament victory.

Clohecy posted a 4-0 record on the day to earn the top spot on the podium. The freshman earned a 16-0 tech fall in just 16 seconds before earning a 12-5 decision to advance to the semifinal round. Clohecy posted back-to-back falls (3:33 and 2:48, respectively) to bring home the title for the Warriors.

Returning All-American Mohamed Tarek Abdelhady (Alexandria, Egypt/Sports Military School) put together a strong showing in the Open Division for the Warriors, advancing to the semifinal round of the 174lb bracket with a pair of upset wins over the No. 4 and No. 5 seeded wrestlers.

Freshman Jayden Lee (Wayne, PA/Radnor) earned a third-place finish in the Freshman/Sophomore Division at 125lbs, securing four wins on the day. Lee outscored his opponents 37-3 in the opening three rounds for earning a 13-11 decision in the third-place match.

Sophomore Justin Brown (Borden, IN/Floyd Central) took home a third-place finish in the 285lb Freshman/Sophomore Division, going 4-1 on the day for the Warriors. Brown posted a 2-0 decision in the third-place match to earn a spot on the podium.

Freshman Ashton Grace (Ottumwa, IA/Ottumwa) earned four victories to place in the 125lb Freshman/Sophomore Division while freshman Jahkari Clark (Des Moines, IA/West Des Moines Valley) won six consecutive matches after dropping his opening round bout to place in the 149lb Freshman/Sophomore Division for the Warriors.

Indian Hills is back in action for its first dual of the year with a trip to Southeastern Community College in Burlington, IA November 5 at 7:00 PM.
