Centerville, IA – No. 1 Indian Hills Men's Wrestling flexed on Friday night with a dominant 31-6 victory over No. 11 nationally ranked North Idaho College at the Multi-Purpose Building on the Indian Hills Centerville campus. The Warriors move to 3-0 in dual action on the year.

The Warriors secured eight of the 10 matchups on the day, including four bonus point victories. Indian Hills, ranked No. 1 in the national polls, has now defeated North Idaho in back-to-back years at the Multi-Purpose Building.

Indian Hills opened up the night with a solid showing from freshman Charlie Dykes (Kingsville, MO / Lee's Summit North) at 125lbs. Dykes built an early 3-0 lead before extending the advantage to 9-1 to put the opening bout out of reach. Dykes went on to win the opener with a 12-7 decision.

Freshman Olli Webb (Tunnel Hill, GA/Southeast Whitfield) scored a 4-2 decision at 133lbs to double the lead for the Warriors. 

Defending national champion and No. 1 nationally ranked Gavyn Whitehead (New Castle, IN/New Castle) starred for the Warriors at 141lbs, picking up a 21-5 tech fall. Whitehead scored 15 points on five takedowns in the opening frame to put the match out of reach and give the Warriors an 11-0 edge.

Freshman Jahkari Clark (Des Moines, IA/West Des Moines Valley) erased an early deficit at 149lbs before taking an 8-4 lead through two periods. Clark scored a a 14-6 major decision after a late takedown in the closing seconds to score bonus points for the Warriors.

After North Idaho's first victory of the night at 157, Indian Hills responded at 165lbs with an 8-2 decision from sophomore All-American Cinsere Clark (Des Moines, IA/West Des Moines Valley). Clark scored a pair of late takedowns to help extend the lead to 18-3 in favor of the Warriors.

A national finalist a year ago, sophomore All-American Mohamed Tarek Abdelhady (Alexandria, Egypt/Sports Military School) earned a first period fall in 2:44 to put the match out of reach. Abdelhady opened up with an early 5-1 lead before securing the lone pin of the night.

Freshman Johnathan Clohecy (Sumterville, FL/The Villages) electrified the crowd at 184lbs with a late takedown in the closing seconds of the 184lb match to take a 4-3 decision.

Defending national champion Andrew Marquez (Rock Island, IL/Rock Island) put a bow on the night with a 14-4 major decision at 197lbs for the Warriors.

Indian Hills' homestand continues with an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) clash vs. North Iowa Area Community College at 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 3 as part of a doubleheader with the women's squads.
