Centerville, IA – Sophomore All-American Cinsere Clark (Des Moines, IA/West Des Moines Valley) of the No. 1 ranked Indian Hills Men's Wrestling squad has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Men's Wrestler of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday.
Clark dominated the 174lb bracket at the 35th annual Art Kraft Memorial Tournament in River Grove, IL. The sophomore took home top honors after posting a 3-0 record, securing two major decisions and a tech fall to remain unbeaten on the year with a 6-0 overall record.
Clark, ranked No. 2 in the nation in the latest The Open Mat rankings at 174lbs, outscored his opponents 38-3 on the day to take home a first-place finish. The sophomore opened up with back-to-back major decisions, 10-0 and 12-2, respectively, to earn a spot in the finals. In the championship bout, Clark dropped Zachary Clark of Bryant & Stratton College (WI) 16-1 in just 5:06 of mat time for the tech fall.
A 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American as a freshman, Clark is now tied for the school record with 12 major decisions in his Indian Hills career while his 11 career tech falls rank third all-time. The sophomore is also now tied for fourth all-time in school history with 40 career wins.
The Warriors now head into the holiday break and will return to action Sunday, January 11 at the Missouri Baptist Open in St. Louis, MO.
