Waterloo, IA – The No. 1 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Wrestling squad rolled to its most impressive victory of the year, a 56-0 shutout of No. 24 ranked Hawkeye Community College Wednesday night in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) action.
Indian Hills secured all 10 bouts via bonus points with four falls and four tech falls to improve to 6-0 overall in dual action this year, including 4-0 in league matchups. On the year, the Warriors have now outscored their opposition 264-28, an average of 44.0 team points per contest.
The win extends the Warriors' program-best winning streak to 19 contests dating back to the 2023-24 season. The 56 points scored are the second-most in a single dual in program history, and the 56-point margin of victory is also the second-best mark all-time for the Warriors.
Aiden Han (Aliso Viejo, CA/Capistrano Valley) made quick work of his opponent to open the night at 125lbs with a fall in 1:32. Freshman Jayden Lee (Wayne, PA/Radnor) cruised to a 16-0 tech fall in 3:50 of mat time at 133lbs. Defending national champion Gavyn Whitehead (New Castle, IN/New Castle) was dominant once again at 141lbs, securing a fall in 2:28 to extend the lead.
