WARRIORS FLEX, DROP NO. 3 IOWA CENTRAL ON THE ROAD

Fort Dodge, IA – No. 1 Indian Hills Men's Wrestling secured a convincing win over No. 3 nationally ranked Iowa Central Community College on the road Wednesday night, dropping the Tritons 22-13. The Warriors remain unbeaten in duals on the year with a 7-0 mark.

Indian Hills ran its win streak to 21 consecutive matches dating back to the 2023-24 campaign. The second consecutive win for the Warriors over the Tritons gives Indian Hills a 4-3 all-time advantage in the juggernaut series.

Following an opening match loss at 125lbs, the Warriors rolled to six consecutive victories to secure the win. On the night, Indian Hills earned a pair of bonus victories compared to just one for the Tritons.

Freshman Olli Webb (Tunnel Hill, GA/Southeast Whitfield), ranked No. 3 in the nation, starred at 133lbs for the Warriors with one of the most dominant victory of the night, a 20-4 tech fall to put Indian Hills ahead 5-4, a lead the Warriors would not relinquish the rest of the way.

Defending national champion Gavyn Whitehead (New Castle, IN/New Castle) used a late takedown in the third period to earn a 9-7 decision over No. 3 ranked Che Jenkins of Iowa Central. Sophomore All-American Shehabeldin Mohamed (Alexandria, Egypt/Smouha Military), ranked in the top-10 at 157lbs, wrestled up to 149lbs and earned a hard-fought 4-1 victory in overtime to push the lead to 11-4.

Freshman Jahkari Clark (Des Moines, IA/West Des Moines Valley), ranked No. 2 in the nation at 149lbs, wrestled at 157lbs and knocked off No. 3 ranked Michael Myers with a solid 22-6 tech fall.

Sophomore All-American Mohamed Tarek Abdelhady (Alexandria, Egypt/Sports Military School), ranked No. 1 in the nation at 165lbs, scored a monumental win with a 9-3 victory over No. 3 ranked Kaden King, a defending All-American from a year ago.

Sophomore Cinsere Clark (Des Moines, IA/West Des Moines Valley), ranked No. 2 in the nation at 174lbs, capped the Warriors' scoring with a 4-0 decision thanks to a late takedown that put the match out of reach.

Indian Hills is back in action January 28 at the Multi-Purpose Building on the Indian Hills Centerville campus for a clash with league foe Iowa Western Community College as part of a doubleheader with the women's squad. Action gets underway at 6:00 PM.
