The No. 1 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Wrestling squad heads to Mason City to defend its NJCAA North Central District crown.
- The Warriors have separated themselves from the pack in the ICCAC this season, boasting a second consecutive regular season undefeated mark in league dual action.
- Indian Hills has won 23 consecutive duals dating back to the 2023-24 campaign, a school record.
- The Warriors posted a 7-0 mark in ICCAC action this year, outscoring the opposition 284-54 on the year.
- Indian Hills posted 353 total team points on the year across nine duals. The Warriors set a new program record for average points/dual with 39.2.
- The Warriors return six individuals from last year's District championship squad, including title winners Gavyn Whitehead, Shehabeldin Mohamed, and Naasir Edmonds.
- GoHillsTV, the official streaming platform of Indian Hills Community College, will serve as the streaming provider of this year's District tournament.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
One of the most highly competitive tournaments over the last three decades, the ICCAC has claimed 10 team national championships throughout its storied history.
- Four different programs have captured a District title in each of the last four seasons:
- 2025: Indian Hills
- 2024: Iowa Central
- 2023: Iowa Western
- 2022: NIACC
- Iowa Central has surged throughout the year and currently sits at No. 2 in both the NJCAA and The Open Mat Team Dual national rankings.
- Iowa Central boasted the most points for in ICCAC action this year with 290 and the fewest points allowed at 52.
- Iowa Western checks into the national rankings at No. 6 in The Open Mat Team Dual Poll and No. 17 in the NJCAA Team Poll.
- Hawkeye is set to make its second all-time trip to the District tournament while startup Southeastern will make its first appearance in its inaugural campaign.
WARRIORS AT DISTRICTS
Despite competing in just its sixth year of competition, the Warriors are already tied for the second-most NJCAA North Central District Championships dating back to the 2001-02 season.
- The Warriors have captured two District crowns in their short existence, including the 2025 title in Council Bluffs, IA.
- 2025 saw the Warriors take home six individual District titles on their way to 154.5 team points to run away from the field.
- Indian Hills also captured the 2021 NJCAA North Central District title with three individuals.
- In total, Indian Hills has captured 13 individual District champions across eight different weight classes.
- Indian Hills has earned 10 bids to the NJCAA National Championship in each of the last five years.
- The Warriors earned all 10 automatic qualifiers at last year's national qualifier.

NATIONALLY RANKED WARRIORS
One of the premiere NJCAA Wrestling Districts year in and year out, the 2026 tournament features 20 nationally ranked wrestlers from the NJCAA rankings across the eight squads competing.
- Of the 20 ranked competitors, Indian Hills claims 10 of this individuals, one each across all 10 weight classes.
- This year's tournament boasts six of the 10 No. 1 ranked wrestlers in the nation, including three alone from Indian Hills.

- No. 1 Mohamed Tarek Abdelhady (165lbs)
- No. 1 Cinsere Clark (174lbs)
- The Warriors are one of just two programs in the national in the latest NJCAA polls to boast one ranked wrestler in all 10 weight classes (Southeast NE).
WHAT'S AT STAKE
Individual berths to the NJCAA National Tournament are on the line at the district tournament on Sunday. The top four individuals from each weight class will earn automatic berths to the NJCAA National Tournament with wild card spots available based on total number of participants. Additionally, as the host district, Region 11 will receive 10 additional qualifiers on top of their automatic qualifiers and wild cards, making the total number of available bids to the national championship 59 of the 70 wrestlers competing in the District championship. The 2026 NJCAA National Tournament is set for March 6-7 at the Mid-American Center in Council Bluffs, IA.
