Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Soccer team, fresh off two wins in Texas, is set to make its home debut this weekend with the IHCC Classic at the IHCC Soccer Complex in Ottumwa.

TOURNAMENT CENTRAL: IHCC Classic Home

The Indian Hills Women's Soccer squad is set to make its home debut this weekend as the Warriors host the annual IHCC Classic, featuring five teams and five games over the course of the next three days.

OPENING KICK

The Warriors are coming off a 2-1-0 record during its season-opening trip to Texas.

• Indian Hills suffered a narrow 3-1 defeat to No. 5 ranked Navarro College (TX) before knocking off Cisco College (TX) 5-0 and Paris Junior College (TX) 2-0.
• Sophomore Arnicka Louis, this week's ICCAC Athlete of the Week, opened the year with eight points for the Warriors on three goals and two assists.

• Fellow sophomore Kiara Levac (Sudbury, Canada/E.S.C. I'Horizon) tallied a pair of goals and two assists to help pace the offense in the Lone Star State.
• Freshman Annabelle Combes (Valence, France/Tezenas du Montcel) played all 270:00 in net, posting two shutouts with 11 total saves on the trip.
• Dating back to the 2016 season, the Warriors are 60-11-4 (.827) on its home pitch. Indian Hills has posted a winning record at home in each of the last 10 seasons.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS

Western Wyoming has opened the season with an 0-2-1 record, dropping matchups to Hutchinson Community College (KS) and Iowa Western in addition to a 1-1 draw with Cochise College (AZ).

• The Mustangs entered the new year after posting an 11-7-1 overall record a season ago.
• Western Wyoming returns three of its top five scorers from last season, including top performer Kayden Barber (38pts, 16g, 6a).
• Freshman Maddie Miller posted a pair of goals in the loss to Iowa Western
• The Mustangs have relied on a pair of freshman keepers to open the new year in Alexandria Barton and Maliya Bell.
• Western Wyoming has won both previous matchups vs. the Warriors - a 3-2 win on Oct. 12, 2024 and a 2-0 win on Sept. 10, 2023 in Ottumwa.

THE FIELD

A pair of nationally ranked opponents in Iowa Western and Motlow State are joined by NJCAA Central District foe Illinois Central to round out this weekend's event.

• Iowa Western, ranked No. 10 in the preseason polls, is off to a 3-0-0 start after advancing to the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer National Championship semifinal round last season.
• Motlow State, ranked No. 17 in the preseason national polls, has opened the year with a 1-1-0 record, including an 8-0 win over Calhoun Community College (AL).
• Illinois Central dropped its season opener, a 3-1 decision to St. Charles Community College (MO) after a 6-6-1 record last season.

The Warriors hit the road to take on Western Iowa Tech Community College at 1:30 PM September 7 in Sioux City, IA.
