NJCAA DI WOMEN'S SOCCER POLL - WEEK 6
Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Soccer squad held strong in the top-10 of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Soccer Poll, checking in at No. 9 in the latest rankings.
With an overall record of 9-2-0 on the year, the Warriors received 84 points from the voting committee in the Week 5 poll. Indian Hills is coming off a 1-1-0 week last week, dropping a 3-1 decision to No. 6 nationally ranked Iowa Western Community College before handling Wabash Valley Community College 8-0 in a neutral site matchup on Friday.
The Warriors currently rank 10th in the nation with 43 goals o the year while the team's 0.64 goals against average ranks 14th-best in the nation. Sophomore Arnicka Louis (Castries, Saint Lucia/Sir Ira Simmons) ranks 10th nationally with 31 points on the year while fellow upperclassmen Kiara Levac (Sudbury, Canada/E.S.C. I'Horizon) ranks 14th overall with 27 points on the year.
Daytona State College (FL) held onto the top spot in this week's poll followed by Arizona Western College, Seminole State College (OK), Navarro College (TX), and Salt Lake Community College (UT).
Indian Hills returns to action with a pair of home contests this week as Iowa Central Community College comes to town on Tuesday followed by a matchup with Northeast Community College on October 11.
