Ottumwa, IA – No. 9 Indian Hills Women's Soccer dropped Iowa Central 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon at home to pick up its 10th win of the season. Sophomore Arnicka Louis (Castries, Saint Lucia/Sir Ira Simmons) tallied a hat trick to pace the Warriors.
Indian Hills moves to 10-2-0 overall on the year with its eight shutout of the season, and second consecutive clean sheet. The Warriors have now won 11 of its last 12 meetings with the Tritons.
Louis found the back of the net in the first half and twice more in the second frame to power the offense for Indian Hills. The sophomore has now scored 15 goals on the season, tied for the third-most in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Fellow sophomore Ella Forsyth (Grimes, IA/Dallas Center-Grimes) added a penalty kick goal to round out the scoring for the Warriors.
As a team, Indian Hills outshot the Tritons 31-6 on the day, including a 16-5 edge in shots on goal. The Warriors tallied eight corner kicks to just one for Iowa Central.
Freshman keeper Annabelle Combes (Valence, France/Tezenas du Montcel) stopped all five shots she faced on the day to secure her 10th win of the season. Combes leads all NJCAA DI Women's Soccer goalkeepers with her 10 victories in 2025.
Louis opened up the scoring in the 29th minute of the opening half as sophomore Sumiko Ramos (Anchorage, Alaska/Robert Service) delivered a free kick just inside midfield that found the foot of Forsyth. Louis corralled the deflection and buried her first strike of the afternoon.
The Warriors maintained the 1-0 advantage as Combes stopped three shots through the first 45 minutes of play. Louis doubled up the lead in the 72nd minute as Forsyth played a long throughball from midfield. Louis buried a shot past the outstretched arms of the Triton keeper for the 2-nil edge.
Forsyth found the back of the net at the 83:12 mark after earning a penalty kick in the box. Louis finished off her first-career hat trick with a goal in the closing seconds of the match to secure the 4-0 victory.
Along with Louis' goal status near the top of the national leaderboard, the sophomore ranks fifth overall on the year with 37 points. Louis continued to climb the all-time Indian Hills record books, moving into fifth place all-time with 26 career goals while her 15 scores this season ranks seventh in school history. The forward also moved into fourth all-time in school history with 68 career points and third all-time with seven career game-winning goals.
With Forsyth's 11th goal of the year, the sophomore has now found the back of the net in nine consecutive matches. The streak is now tied for the longest current goal streak in the nation this year.
Indian Hills returns to action Saturday afternoon at home with a 3:00 PM date vs. Northeast Community College. Saturday's contest serves as Domestic Violence Awareness Day at the IHCC Soccer Complex. Fans are encouraged to bring personal care items that will be donated to local organizations in the surround Ottumwa communities.
