EIGHT NAMED TO ALL-REGION WOMEN'S SOCCER SQUAD

Ottumwa, IA – Eight members of the Indian Hills Women's Soccer team have been named to the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Soccer All-Region 11 First-Team, announced Friday morning.

Six sophomores joined two freshmen on this year's postseason recognition list. Sophomores Arnicka Louis (Castries, Saint Lucia/Sir Ira Simmons), Ella Forsyth (Grimes, IA/Dallas Center-Grimes), Kiara Levac (Sudbury, Canada/E.S.C. I'Horizon), Mayo Kawashima (Osaka, Japan/Osaka Gakugei), Mia Garza (Ottumwa, IA/Ottumwa), and Nana Tanikawa (Kawasaki, Japan/Takatsu) were joined by freshmen keeper Annabelle Combes (Valence, France/Tezenas du Montcel) and defender Meghan Lorjuste (Montreal, Canada/Ecole Marie-Anne) on the All-Region squad.

The group led the Warriors to one of the most successful seasons in school history, posting a 13-3-1 overall record and finished the season ranked No. 10 in the nation in the final NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Poll. The Warriors were ranked in all nine regular season polls, climbing as high as No. 7 in the nation.

Louis capped an unprecedented career at Indian Hills as one of the most prolific scorers in school history. The sophomore tallied 20 goals and 10 assists for 50 total points on the year, fifth-most in a single season in school history. Louis leaves Indian Hills with the fifth-most goals in a single season and fourth-most in a career with 31 over the past two seasons. Louis ranks third all-time in career points (81) and second all-time with nine career game-winning goals.  The sophomore ranked in the top-ten in the nation this season in total points and goals scored. Louis was a three-time ICCAC Athlete of the Week.

Levac left her mark on Indian Hills Women's Soccer with a stellar sophomore season to wrap up a remarkable career with the Warriors. Levac tallied a team-high 14 assists on the year which ranks sixth all-time in a single season in school history while her 20 career assists are fifth-most in school history. Levac's 52 career points are 10th most all-time at Indian Hills. Levac earned ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors in September.

Forsyth made an immediate impact in her inaugural season with the Warriors, tallying 13 goals and five assists for 31 points on the year. The sophomore transfer tallied at least one goal in nine consecutive matches on the year, the longest streak in the NJCAA. Forsyth was named the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer National Player of the Week for the week of September 9-17 and was a two-time ICCAC Athlete of the Week.

Kawashima served as an integral piece of the Warriors' success over the past two seasons and finished the year with three goals and 11 assists. Kawashima capped her Indian Hills career with 22 career points and 14 assists.

Lorjuste anchored a stingy Indian Hills defense to the second-lowest goals against average in school history at 0.81. The freshman defender tallied 16 starts on the year, adding a goal and three assists from the backline.

Garza was instrumental in her debut season with the Warriors as a primary midfielder. The Ottumwa native tallied a goal and four assists while appearing in all 17 contests, making 16 starts on the year.

Tanikawa's versatility aided the Warrior offense and defense throughout the duration of the year. The sophomore defender recorded five goals and four assists for a total of 14 points in 2025.

Combes put together one of the most impressive seasons in net in Indian Hills history, combining to pitch 10 shutouts on the year. Combes posted the third-most victories in the nation this year with 12 while her 0.93 goals against averaged ranks third all-time in a single season in Indian Hills history.
