Ottumwa, IA – With his third goal in as many games, sophomore Joseph Redmond (Basingstoke, England/Basingstoke Academy) of the No. 5 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Soccer squad has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Redmond tallied a goal in both matches last week to pace the Warrior offense as Indian Hills went 1-1-0 on the week. The Warriors rolled past Iowa Lakes Community College 4-1 before dropping a 3-1 decision to No. 16 Lewis & Clark Community College (IL).
Redmond has now scored a goal in each of his last three matches, in addition to an assist for a total of seven points during the stretch. The weekly honor is first-career ICCAC Athlete of the Week accolade for the sophomore.
Redmond and the Warriors are back in action Saturday afternoon with a 1:00 PM matchup vs. Lincoln Trail College (IL) at the IHCC Soccer Complex in Ottumwa.
