SIX NAMED TO MEN'S SOCCER ALL-REGION SQUAD

Ottumwa, IA – Six members of the Indian Hills Men's Soccer squad have been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Soccer All-Region 11 First-Team, announced Friday by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).

Sophomores Fabian Arroyo (Ciudad Quesada, Costa Rica/Liceo San Carlos), Vittorio Bellesi (Breno, Italy/Olivelli Putelli), Diego Lazaro (Laval, Canada/Horizon-Jeunesse), Alessandro Peruz (Calalzo di Cadore, Italy/Enrico Fermi), and Joseph Redmond (Basingstoke, England/Basingstoke Academy) were joined by freshman keeper Matteo Malaguti (Mantova, Italy/Liceo Isabella d'este Mantova) were honored on this year's postseason recognition list.

The six individuals honored have helped the Warriors punch their ticket to the upcoming national tournament for the third consecutive season after earning an at-large bid as the No. 8 overall seed.

Arroyo played a key role during his second season with the Warriors from the midfield position. The sophomore posted career-highs in goals, assists, and points on the year while appearing in all 18 matches, making 15 starts. Arroyo is the reigning ICCAC DI Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week.

Bellesi anchored the Indian Hills defense once again, starting 15 contests for a squad that posted a team goals against average of 1.16, good enough for third-best in school history. Bellesi tacked on a pair of goals and two assists from the backline during the 2025 campaign. The sophomore earned ICCAC DI Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week honors in September.

A United Soccer Coaches All-Region selection as a freshman, Lazaro tallied five goals and five assists on the year to climb to fifth all-time in school history with 15 career assists and ranks in the top-10 in school history in four offensive categories. Lazaro was twice named the ICCAC DI Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week in 2025.

Peruz provided an impressive sophomore campaign from the midfield for the Warriors, appearing in all 18 contests while making 17 starts. Peruz tallied a pair of goals against nationally ranked opponents this season.

Redmond ranked second on the team with seven goals and 17 points this season. The sophomore tallied two game-winning goals, inlcuding the heroics to knock off No. 1 nationally ranked Iowa Western Community College. Redmond scored a goal in four consecutive matches and has scored in straight contests heading into the national tournament. Redmond was twice tapped as the ICCAC DI Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week.

Malaguti made an immediate impact in his debut season with the Warriors. The freshman started 14 contests in net, collecting nine results, including six wins, while playing a part in three shutouts. Malaguti posted a 1.05 goals against average on the year, currently good enough for third-lowest in school history.
