CANNON'S TOP MARK EARNS ICCAC WEEKLY HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Joseph Cannon (Milwaukee, WI/Rufus King) of the Indian Hills Men's Track & Field squad has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Cannon starred for the Warriors during the team's outdoor season opener at the Central College Dutch Invitational in Pella, IA. The 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 11 Indoor Track & Field 60-meter champion, Cannon took home a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash in Pella.

Making his outdoor debut this season for the Warriors, Cannon cruised to the top mark in the prelim round with a personal best time of 10.29, the fifth-fastest mark in school history. Cannon's time earned a spot in the finals where the sophomore won the event with a time of 10.43.

Cannon and the Warriors will now head south to the state of Texas for a pair of events. The Warriors will compete at the Texas Relays in Austin, TX and the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, TX. Action at both events gets underway on April 2.
