WARRIORS CAPTURE SIX REGION TITLES

Council Bluffs, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Track & Field squad brought home six National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 11 Championships over the weekend as the Warriors placed third overall in Council Bluffs.

Indian Hills swept through the three sprint events as Damor Miller (Kingston, Jamaica/Excelsior), Izaiah Loveless (Iowa City, IA/Iowa City West), and Devonni Ferguson (Gouyave, Grenada/Grenada Boys' Secondary) captured the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter dash events, respectively. Indian Hills also brought home both hurdle events, led by Yverson Alexandre (Hillside, NJ/Hillside) in the 110-meter hurdles and Kameron Hall (Tallahassee, FL/Rickards) in the 400-meter hurdles.

The men's 4x100-meter relay squad continued an impressive season, capturing the team title at the 2026 NJCAA Region 11 Championships. The quartet of Loveless, Miller, Joseph Cannon (Milwaukee, WI/Rufus King), and Hector Benjamin (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College) posted a time of 40.05, nearly a full second ahead of runner-up Iowa Western Community College.

Miller's efforts in the 100m dash led to his first-career individual NJCAA Regio 11 Championship as the sophomore posted a time of 10.35. Miller edged out Benjamin who earned a runner-up finish with a time of 10.52.

Loveless brought home the 200m title with a time of 21.44 for his first-career postseason title. Ferguson followed suit in the 400m with a time of 46.48 while Kemarrio Bygrave (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College) and Raynier Galvez (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County) placed third and fourth, respectively.

Alexandre and teammate Harry Momolu (Blackwood, NJ/Fork Union Military Academy) went 1-2 in the 110mH finals while Tristan Simmons (Miami, FL/Miramar) placed fifth overall to pace the Warriors. Alexandre posted a time of 14.76 followed by Momolu's mark of 14.86.

Hall outlasted the field in the men's 400mH with a time of 54.19, capturing the top spot on the podium by 0.50 seconds. Simmons added a third-place finish in the 400mH with a time of 55.23.

For the second consecutive season, the same 4x100m relay squad brought home the title at the Region championships. The group's mark of 40.05 bested last year's performance of 40.23. Indian Hills has now captured four of the last six NJCAA Region 11 4x100m Relay Championships.

Freshman Dayton Lamar (Denmark, IA/Fort Madison) earned a runner-up finish in the men's long jump with a personal-best mark of 7.32 meters, which now ranks ninth in the NJCAA this season.

The Warriors head to Ames, IA for the Iowa State Cyclone Twilight May 8 before heading off to the NJCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Hobbs, NM May 14-16.
