WARRIORS MAKE HISTORY AT TEXAS RELAYS

Austin, TX – For the second consecutive year, the Indian Hills Men's Track & Field squad left their mark at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays with a historic performance. The Warriors added a number of strong showings at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, TX as well.

The Warriors left Austin, TX as the men's 4x800-meter relay champions for the second consecutive year, this time with another school record. The quartet of Jaquan Coke (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College), Kemarrio Bygrave (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College), Evan Beeler (Farragut, TN/Farragut), and Raynier Galvez (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County) posted a time of 7:20.35 to take the top spot on the podium.

Coke, Bygrave, and Galvez captured their second career Texas Relays 4x800m title after winning the event as freshmen in 2025. The Warriors become just the second junior college team in the 98 year history of the event to win back-to-back titles, and are just the second program in the last 13 years to produce consecutive years with a time below 7:23.00.

The Warriors' time of 7:20.35 ranks first among all collegiate teams across all levels (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA) this year and is the 58th fastest time in the history of collegiate track & field.

Along with the strong showing at the Texas Relays from the relay squad, sophomore Damor Miller (Kingston, Jamaica/Excelsior) starred in 100-meter dash. Miller electrified the crowd in the preliminary round with a time of 10:06, the second-fastest mark in school history to advance to the finals. In the championship race, Miller placed second overall with a time of 10.19 to outlast runners from Ohio State, Kentucky, and Texas.

Miller's mark of 10.06 in the relays is now the top all-conditions mark in the NJCAA this year and tied for fifth-fastest among all collegiate athletes this year.

Just 45 minutes south of the Texas Relays, freshman Devonni Ferguson (Gouyave, Grenada/Grenada Boys' Secondary) took home top honors in the 400-meter run with a time of 46.20. Ferguson's mark now ranks third all-time in school history.

Galvez, Bygrave, and Coke teamed up in the men's 800-meter run to represent the Warriors. Galvez took home a third-place finish with a time of 1:49.68, the third time in the sophomore's Indian Hills career in which he broke 1:50.00 in an outdoor meet. Bygrave took home a ninth-place finish followed by an 11th place showing for Coke.

At the Bobcat Invitational, Brian Kiprop (Eldoret, Kenya/Kingston College) and Kohlby Newsom (Winfield, IA/Winfield Mt. Union) produced top-10 Indian Hills marks in the 1,500-meter run.
