Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Joska Nelis (Haarlem, Netherlands/Lyceum Sancta Maria) of the Indian Hills Women's Golf team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Women's Golf Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Nelis collects her fifth weekly honor from the ICCAC this year after capturing her second-career title last week at Bruzzy's Spring Fling in Ardmore, OK. Nelis took home medalist honors with round scores of 85-79-164 to finish 20-over par to win by one stroke.
Nelis, ranked No. 27 in the latest Scoreboard Powered by Clippd national rankings, has now placed in the top-five in five of the team's six events this year, including three top-three finishes. Nelis broken 80 in eight of the team's 14 rounds this season.
Nelis and the Warriors return to action March 24-26 at the Ozarks National Invitational in Hollister, MO.
