WARRIORS BOAST STRONG SHOWING AT NJCAA NATIONALS

Coal Valley, IL – The Indian Hills Women's Golf team secured a program-best 12th-place finish at the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Golf National Championship on Thursday. The Warriors were led by sophomore Poppy Norcott (Wiltshire, United Kingdom/Hartpury College) with the highest individual finish in school history.

Indian Hills improved on its 14th-place team finish from its inaugural season in 2025. The Warriors posted a 180-over, 1,316 for its best finish in school history.

Norcott paced the Warriors throughout the duration of the tournament at Oakwood Country Club as the sophomore tied for 27th overall. Norcott fired a 34-over, 318 during the four-day, four-round event. Norcott fired round scores of 79-75-81-83-318 to crack the top-30 for the Warriors.

The sophomore was steady throughout the course of the week, tallying five birdies, including back-to-back holes in the second round of holes 12 and 13.

Sophomore Sofia Saavedra (Barquisimeto, Venezuela/Dawere International) aided the Warriors' efforts with a 43rd place finish, posting a 46-over par. Saavedra tallied round scores of 81-80-81-88 to close out her Indian Hills career.

Fellow sophomore Taylor Pacheco (Chula Vista, CA/Olympian) followed closely behind Saavedra, tying for 51st overall for the Warriors. Pacheco posted a 52-over par to go along with a pair of birdies in the third round.

Sophomore Mackenzie Reeves (Rogers, AR/Heritage Rogers) capped her Indian Hills career in a tie for 60th place overall. Reeves finished with a 60-over par and fired a pair of birdies throughout the week.

Sophomore Jade Blakeley (St. Michael, Barbados/Rabun Gap Nacoochee) contributed to the Warriors' scoring efforts, placing in 84th overall with two rounds of competition. Blakely closed out the tournament with round scores of 81-82-163.

Freshman Yebin Yun (Sejong, South Korea/Lakota West) also aided the Warriors' team effort with a valuable round of experience on day two at Oakwood Country Club.

Daytona State College (FL) took home the team title, edging out Odessa College (TX) by one stroke.
