NO. 10 WARRIORS EARN SECOND STRAIGHT TEAM TITLE

Oskaloosa, IA – The No. 10 nationally ranked Indian Hills Women's Golf squad captured its second consecutive team title, and third of the year after taking home top honors at the WPU Spring Statesmen Shootout and Edmundson Golf Course on Wednesday. The Warriors fired a 49-over, 329 to finish atop the leaderboard.

The Warriors were led by sophomores Mackenzie Reeves (Rogers, AR/Heritage Rogers) and Jade Blakely (St. Michael, Barbados/Rabun Gap Nacoochee) who tied for second overall with an 8-over, 78. The duo finished just one stroke behind the top overall finisher in the one day, one round event.

Sophomore Veronica Rodriguez (Santiago, Chile/Liceo A-1310 Buin) tied for sixth overall with an 86 while Poppy Norcott (Wiltshire, United Kingdom/Hartpury College) tied for eighth overall with an 87. Freshman Yebin Yun (Sejong, South Korea/Lakota West) rounded out the team scoring in a tie for 17th overall.

Blakely has now posted back-to-back top-three finishes for the Warriors while Reeves' runner-up finish is the sophomore's best showing of her collegiate career. Reeves' 78 is also her second-lowest round of her career.

The Warriors have now earned first-place team finishes at Edmundson Golf Course in back-to-back years after winning the Statesmen Invitational last season. In just its second year of existence, the Warriors, ranked 10th in the nation in the latest Clippd Scoreboard national rankings, have now won six team titles.

Indian Hills returns to action April 13-14 with the Stampede at the Creek at Indian Creek Golf Club in Elkhorn, NE.
