Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Poppy Norcott (Wiltshire, United Kingdom/Hartpury College) of the Indian Hills Women's Golf team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Women's Golf Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday.
Norcott made a splash in the Warriors' spring debut at the Hillcrest Classic in Owasso, OK last week. The sophomore took home her first-career collegiate title with a 5-over, 149 to finish atop the 44-player field.
Norcott's dominant performance began in the opening round with three birdies and the tournament's lone eagle on the par-5 14th hole. Norcott added a birdie in the second round to finish the two-day event tied for the second-most birdies across the field.
The individual title for Norcott is the first for the Warrior program during the 2025-26 campaign.
Norcott has now earned back-to-back ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors dating back to the fall season.
The Warriors return to action March 27-28 at the Graceland Spring Invitational at the Mozingo Golf Course in Maryville, MO.
