Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Cindy Rose of the No. 14 nationally ranked Indian Hills Women's Cross Country squad has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Rose put together an impressive showing at the Bradley Intercollegiate for the Warriors, placing 33rd overall with a personal-best 4.97 mile mark of 18:18.20. Rose's performance helped lead the Warriors to a seventh-place team finish.
In a field of 195 competitors and 23 teams, Rose was the top junior college finisher to pace the Warriors at Detweiller Park.
Indian Hills is back in action October 4 at the Missouri Western Griffon Invitational in St. Joseph, MO.
