USTFCCA NJCAA DI WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY POLL - WEEK 4
Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Cross Country squad continued to surge in the national rankings, checking in at No. 10 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Coaches Poll.
The Warriors spot at No. 10 is the second-highest rank in program history, right behind the 2021 squad's national rank at No. 9. Indian Hills has used three consecutive runner-up team finishes to jump four spots from last week's ranking. The Warriors earned 155.0 points in the poll to make the second-largest jump of any team in the nation this week.
Indian Hills is coming off a second-place showing at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 11 Cross Country Championship in Fort Dodge, IA over the weekend. The Warriors' runner-up finish was the program's top performance in a postseason meet in program history. Indian Hills boasted three individuals in the top-10 – Cindy Rose (Brown's Town, Jamaica/Holmwood Technical), Tiffani Koonce (Prairie City, IA/Prairie City-Monroe), and Rebecca Duran (E Paso, TX/Chapin).
The Warriors previously added runner-up finishes at the Indian Hills Invitational on October 10 and the Missouri Western Griffon Invite on October 4.
Indian Hills will now turn its attention to the upcoming NJCAA DI Women's Cross Country Championship November 8 at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
