Centerville, IA – Two members of the nationally ranked Indian Hills Wrestling programs have been named the Indian Hills Hy-Vee Student-Athletes of the Month. Freshman Jasmine Wolfe (Sedalia, MO/Smith-Cotton) of the No. 1 women's program and sophomore Mohamed Tarek Abdelhady (Alexandria, Egypt/Sports Military School) of the No. 1 men's program have been recognized for their efforts on the mat and in the classroom.
The duo have helped lead both Warrior squads to the top of the national rankings through the first half of the season.
Abdelhady, a returning NJCAA All-American for the Warriors, put together an impressive month of December that saw the sophomore place first overall at the 34th Annual Art Kraft Memorial, one of the premiere junior college wrestling tournaments in the nation. Abdelhady went 4-0 at the event to close out the month with a 5-0 record, including two falls, a tech fall, and a major decision.
Abdelhady, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in The Open Mat 165lb rankings, No. 5 in The Open Mat Pound-for-Pound national rankings, and No. 2 in the NJCAA 165lb poll, placed second overall at the 2025 NJCAA National Championship.
In the classroom, Abdelhady was recently named to the ICCAC Academic All-Region First-Team for the third consecutive semester.
Wolfe has gotten off to a solid start to her collegiate career with the Warriors. The freshman placed third overall at the AU Women's Eagle Open in Kansas City, MO to close out the month of December. Wolfe posted a 4-1 overall record at the event with a pair of tech falls, one pin, and decision to her resume. On the year, Wolfe currently boasts an 11-4 record.
Wolfe is currently ranked No. 4 in the latest NJCAA 138lb national rankings and No. 5 overall in The Open Mat 138lb poll.
Wolfe was named to the ICCAC Academic All-Region Second-Team for her work in the classroom in the fall term.
