Hillsboro, MO – No. 17 nationally ranked Indian Hills Volleyball picked up a 3-1 road win at Jefferson College (MO) on Tuesday night. The Warriors improve to 22-7 overall on the year and have now won four consecutive matches.
Indian Hills has now won five consecutive matches over the Vikings, and 10 of its last 11 meetings. The Warriors dropped Jefferson for the second time this season with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, and 25-19.
The Warriors produced their most kills of the year with 61 in the win on Tuesday night as three different individuals finished the match with double-digit finishers. Sophomore Piper Nelson (Atkins, IA/Benton), this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week, tallied a team-high 16 kills while freshman Farah Sherif (Alexandria, Egypt/EGC) added 12 kills on 24 attempts for a .458 hitting percentage. Sophomore Luana Silva Ferreira (Guimaraes, Portgual/Martins Sarmento) added 11 kills and a .444 hitting percentage.
Sophomore Ana Luiza Caminha Matos (Betim, Brazil/Augusto de Lima) inched closer to 1,000 assists on the year with a match-high 50 helpers for the Warriors. The setter also tallied a career-high 16 digs for the Warriors.
Asialin Powell (Des Moines, IA/Roosevelt), this week's ICCAC DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, added another strong performance for the Warriors with a team-high 23 digs.

The Warriors are back in action Monday, October 27 with a trip to Boone, IA to take on Des Moines Area Community College at 7:00 PM.
